Sta-Set X has a braided polyester cover with a linear (not braided) polyester core. By not braiding the inner core stretch from the lines construction is limited. The first 6 times or so you use this line you will notice stretch but the line will seat it self and perform well. Like most limited stretch lines Sta-Set X becomes firm with use.
